Palo Alto Creamery

If you do not mind long waits and disorganized service, this Palo Alto Diner has plenty of menu items to satisfy any kind of late night craving. The large prices are worth the small portions if you value quality over quantity.

  • Pancakes were fluffy are warm.
  • Hash browns were not crisp on top
  • Beer and Wine bar, Take-Out Bakery
  • Steep Prices

King of Krung Siam

In Crowded Downtown Mountain View, King of Krung Siam doesn't try to stand out with its food or it's appearance, but still manages to satisfy the palate.

  • Yellow Curry w/Chicken an Potatoes was a little on the bland side
  • Perfectly mixed Thai Iced Tea
  • Pad Thai great with Tofu
  • Good Prices for Downtown Mountain View

Athena Gyros

Want a quick bite to eat in downtown San Mateo before you go see your movie? Try the Gyro Combo Plate at Athena Gyro on 3rd Avenue.

  • Gyro Combo Plate comes with a very tasty Gyro of your choice (lamb, beef, pork).....
  • But side dishes (Greek salad, rice) are uninspired at best
  • Very little seating
  • Plenty of homemade pastries.
  • Baklava tasted a little like Pumpkin Pie

Marvin Gardens

Located on the other side of the Belmont railroad tracks, Marvin Gardens really is the hidden gem of Belmont Pubs. Good enough beer, a solid menu, and a warm interior invite you to come try a Starvin Marvin.

  • Starvin Marvin is one tasty burger, better if you add cheddar
  • Beware: Out of Menu items often
  • Open/Close to owners discrepecie. Very pricey
  • Handful of locally brewed beers make for a good selection
  • One of few Pubs with Homemade Pizza available
  • Have had a better burger, Have had a worse burger
  • Jalepeno's and Pepperjack added an extra dimension of flavor to the Wineburger.

Waterfront Pizzeria

Watefront Pizzeria is a Hookah Bar, Pizzeria, and Mediterranean Restaurant rolled into one establishment. This multiple personality restaurant doesn't muck itself up with a confused menu and is definably worth a try.

  • Full Bar
  • Chicken Gyro was delicious,
  • Portions on the small side
  • Good prices and plenty of parking
  • Dec our is inviting, and outside seating with Hookah Bar makes it a fun environment
  • Falafel Kebab was thoroughly enjoyed

Roxies Deli

Delicious Deli Sandwiches from a Corner Bodega located off the San Francisco City College Campus? You bet. Roxies is kind of a secret amongst Deli Sandwich afficionados, so don't say you weren't told.
  • The Sammi Special (pastrami, turkey, cheddar) is only enhanced by the addition of bacon. ($1.00)
  • No place to sit down and eat
  • Sandwiches are served toasted (best if ate A.S.A.P.)
  • Dutch Crunch is always availible and fresh.
  • Doesn't water down menu with overhaul of choices. Classic, Simple Deli Sandwiches
  • Plenty of option for chips & drink. The Deli is inside a liquor store.

Erawan Thai

Erawan Thai is another stand out restaurant  in downtown Redwood City. The Pa-Nang Curry servered in a soup bowl of spicy Coconut Milk was great poured over rice, and plentiful enough for me to leave with leftovers. Erawan Thai is giving Bangkok Bay a run for their money in the Downtown Redwood City Thai restaurant market.

  • NO Parking Downtown
  • Very nice priced menu
  • Pa-Nang Curry is best served Spicy
  • Quick service, relaxed atmosphere
  • Spicy Basil Tofu almost didnt taste like tofu

    The Counter

With an overwhelming ammount of burger choices and comibinations, your best bet is going to be the "Build Your Own Burger" option.
    • Burgers come in three sizes
    • Sell combination Fry/Onion Ring plates
    • Expensive
    • Onion Rings are more "Onion Strings"
    • Ever-changing Sauce choices to compliment your Burger
    • Excellent Bannana Milk Shakes
    • Not enough seating
